Living in Presence
One of the main pillars of a harmonious life is living in Presence. When we live in Presence, we rarely think about the past; we go there to reflect or to think with sentiment, distance, and gratitude towards life. Some thoughts may visit our consciousness unexpectedly, which often happens when we are in the midst of healing, so that these thoughts, memories, or energy can be released, but we have an inner distance and ability to watch these unexpected visitors so they do not cause too much disturbance to our peace. When we live in Presence, we are attracted to our future, which paints itself in enthusiastic and optimistic colors because it relates to the vision we were given. This vision is often linked to our life purpose, our life mission, or the main calling of our life, and one of our main occupations is working on that vision. We are free from our past and its sad or difficult experiences because our commitment to healing gradually creates an inner spaciousness and connects us with Presence. We become much more attentive and sensitive to two main ecosystems that hold so much precious information: our inner environment, in the realms of emotions, thoughts, bodily sensations, intuitions, and dreams, in the same way as we are attentive towards our daily environment. When our mind becomes hectic, it is much easier to bring attention to our inner body and feel its aliveness, so that our mind can rest naturally. When we practice Presence regularly and persistently, identification with the mind gradually dissolves, and we become freer from conditioned and negative beliefs. It is much easier to watch our thoughts and not believe those that are not supportive or negative. Mind becomes an incredible tool we can use to plan the practical aspects of our lives, contemplate, or express our creativity.
