The role of healthy and supportive habits in the process of discovering your life purpose and building a harmonious life - part 2
In my previous post, dedicated to establishing the habit of quality mornings, I mentioned the letting go technique and its role in daily emotional hygiene. The letting go technique comes from Dr. David R. Hawkins's book of the same name and is an excellent and extremely effective method for regularly noticing, feeling, and releasing emotions. This habit is important because its regular use will give you a remarkable tool for working with your emotions. Feeling and releasing them regularly makes us more present, grounded, and connected to our essence. We also become more sensitive and attentive to what our inner world and the life around us are communicating.
Regularly practicing the letting go technique will support your spiritual growth and expansion of consciousness and contribute to increased self-esteem stemming from your ability to experience a wide variety of emotional states. Regularly releasing emotions will cause your awareness to develop more rapidly, which in turn will lead to continuous improvement in the quality of your life, a greater level of gratitude for all its manifestations, and a more compassionate nature. When we focus on releasing emotions and states that no longer serve us, we will have more space to share higher-vibrational emotions, including peace, composure, enthusiasm, joy, gratitude, compassion, and love.
One of the best ways to begin practicing the letting go technique is to establish a daily self-pause whenever emotional discomfort arises. We can use this as a signal and reminder to create a space for ourselves where we won't be disturbed. Whenever possible, please sit comfortably, turn your attention inward, and begin noticing how you feel. Give some nonjudgmental attention to your current sensations without trying to change them. Feel this way, observing how your internal environment changes, and continue noticing and feeling for as long as you need. When the session is over, return to the flow of your day and try to observe how you feel after each session. Each session is important because it contributes to establishing a natural habit of stopping for yourself, which, over time, will transform into a way of living.
If you're interested in learning more about the Letting go technique, I encourage you to read David R. Hawkins' book. It's a helpful guide to the healing and expansion of consciousness, and in my opinion, one of Dr. Hawkins' best and most valuable books. If you feel you need a little support in establishing the habit of daily self-pause, I invite you to join my online classes, where we meet regularly and practice the technique. These live, guided sessions will help you in the initial stages of implementing the habit.
