How to connect with your creativity at a deeper level?

A deep connection with creativity means that we are connected and tapped into the creative energy of life, which is possible in various ways; however, the most effective and fastest way to discover and connect with our gifts, creative expression, and make our lives much more creative is sincere engagement in our own healing. When we are wholeheartedly focused on the healing, and we treat it as a priority, we heal the past in a very prompt manner; at the same time, we begin to live in Presence and by releasing, so to speak, negative emotions, thoughts, and limiting beliefs, and everything that doesn’t serve us any more from our nervous and energetic systems, we automatically and naturally create an inner spaciousness which can be considered as Presence, the source of inspiration, insight and creative expression. Hence, it is vitally important to learn to notice, feel, and release “negative” emotions, which will become significantly easier when we introduce the habit of pausing during the day for at least a few minutes, a few times per day, and bring our attention inwards. This one single habit, when introduced and practiced, will increase the level of your attentiveness and deepen your sensitivity  - two major creative qualities.

Another way to start connecting with creativity is by practicing writing each day. It doesn’t have to be long; it is enough if you spend 15 to 20 minutes writing what is in your mind, as much as possible, without judging or too much editing. You can write down your feelings, thoughts, your current challenges, or whatever you feel you want to write. This single practice will help you cultivate inner spaciousness, get to know yourself better, increase self-awareness, and definitely connect you with your creativity. It will also connect you with presence – the source of creativity and inspiration, which will start to flow with a wider stream.

Additionally, an important aspect of creative life is to teach yourself to act from inspiration and what feels most authentic to you in a given moment. This will help you build creative discipline, a combination of being disciplined and living with the flow and energy of life.
